Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado

This project involved the comprehensive modernization of petroleum fuel infrastructure at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado, including the replacement of aging double-walled fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) fuel piping with new aboveground and trenched piping systems to improve reliability, safety, and long-term maintainability. Work also included the installation of new horizontal filter separators, construction of reinforced concrete containment pads and canopy structures, replacement of underground product recovery tanks, relocation and repair of electrical equipment, and upgrades to fuel system support infrastructure. The scope incorporated civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental improvements designed to maintain continuous fueling operations while meeting stringent UFC, NFPA, ASTM, and Department of Defense standards for aviation fuel facilities and environmental compliance.
